The Banks Power 42132-D Ram-Air Intake System with Dry starts as CAD software prototypes and is put through flow simulations until the simulation shows optimal performance. Then a hardware prototype is constructed into a prototype and the design is validated on a flowbench, which is then dyno-tested and on-vehicle-tested. The Banks' unique 4-1/2" bellows accommodate engine movement, which prevents component damage and prolongs service life. This intake is also designed not to cause any fault or error codes.
Banks Optional Super-Scoop
Banks exclusive Super-Scoop is an add-on product to the Ram-Air Intake System. Super-Scoop connects below the front bumper, forcing a big charge of cool, pressurized ram air into the Ram-Air Intake's air filter housing. Because the air is drawn from outside the engine compartment, it has greater density and makes more power than warmer engine air. Rainwater and debris are funneled out of the bottom.
